Sunday 10 May 2026 Stage that can be divided into two parts: the first is a steady false flat uphill and ends at the Borovets ski resort, while the second is a steady false flat downhill all the way to the finish in Sofia.

Tuesday 12 May 2026 Short and fast stage, featuring a long intermediate climb that is not particularly demanding.

Wednesday 13 May 2026 Very demanding stage, entirely inland between Calabria and Basilicata.

Thursday 14 May 2026 Short and flat stage. The first part runs along the Tyrrhenian coast to Salerno, where the route climbs to Cava de’ Tirreni before entering the plain around Mount Vesuvius.

Friday 15 May 2026 Major Apennine mountain stage and the longest of the Giro. The first part runs along the southern Lazio coast through Sperlonga and Gaeta before passing through Formia again and heading north.

Saturday 16 May 2026 First part along the Adriatic, flat and on wide, mostly straight roads, followed by a second part in the Fermo hinterland with a succession of ups and downs and several “walls,” especially towards the finish.

Sunday 17 May 2026 Stage that is essentially one long climb. The route is completely flat from the start to Silla, although after Sasso Marconi it begins to rise slightly along the Porrettana road.

Tuesday 19 May 2026 Flat individual time trial, almost entirely straight, with two U-turns.

Wednesday 20 May 2026 Very demanding stage, especially in the second part. The start is almost flat but quite technical between Lucca and Camaiore, before joining the Via Aurelia (SS1) for many kilometres.

Thursday 21 May 2026 After an initial section inland in the Imperia area as far as Pieve di Teco, the stage follows the Via Aurelia from Albenga to Savona in the opposite direction to Milano–Sanremo.

Thursday 28 May 2026 Undulating stage from start to finish. The route connects the Adige valley with the Brenta valley via the climb of Civezzano, then continues on rolling terrain.

Saturday 30 May 2026 From there, the race reaches Maniago and then enters, at Montereale Valcellina, a final circuit of approximately 53 km featuring a double ascent of Piancavallo.

Sunday 31 May 2026 Final stage divided into two parts. The approach section starts from Rome-EUR and heads to the coast, reaching Ostia, before returning to the start area. Riders then enter the final circuit, to be covered 8 times, entirely within the capital.
