The second half of the Giro begins in Liguria, after a time trial between Viareggio and Massa expected to create the first time gaps.
Stage 11, from Porcari to Chiavari, is a true “trap stage”, set in spectacular landscapes such as the Cinque Terre.
The twisting and technical finale features the Colla dei Scioli, a complete novelty for the Giro: 5.7 km at 6.4%, with a tricky opening section on narrow roads.
Located along the Sentiero dei Celti e dei Liguri, this climb could prove decisive, favouring attacks and surprises in an open and unpredictable stage.
