Alec Segaert (Bahrain Victorious) triumphed this Thursday in Novi Ligure, the finish of stage 12 of the 2016 Giro d’Italia, with a splendid attack from three kilometers from the finish. The Belgian beat Toon Aerts (Lotto Intermarché), who finished second, and Thomas Silva (XDS Astana), who finished third, by three seconds. Afonso Eulálio (Bahrain Victorious), who gained bonus seconds at the Red Bull Kilometer, retains the Maglia Rosa (pink jersey).
