FantaGiro d’Italia: The Breakaway Does it Again

Another successful breakaway! This time by Carlos Verona (Lidl–Trek), who delivers the win in Stage 15 of the FantaGiro d’Italia, from Fiume Veneto to Asiago, covering a total of 219 km.
The 32-year-old Spanish rider raised the bar by setting the season’s highest fantasy points tally so far, with 104 points: 30 for winning the stage, 6 for first at the Red Bull KM, 10 for placing in the cat. 2 KOM, 10 for the Breakaway Prize, 5 for the Toast bonus, 10 for the Bouquet bonus, 10 for his first ever Giro stage win, 3 for the Conad “Grocery” bonus, 10 for the Rotoloni Regina bonus “Passion That Never Ends” bonus (win by a rider over 30), 10 for the Novi “Full Gas Breakaway” bonus (stage win after at least 20 km solo), 5 for the SOLO Caffè Monorigine bonus (10 km solo break), and a –5 Malus for receiving a penalty.

Second on the stage was Lorenzo Fortunato (XDS Astana Team), who also climbed to second place in the FantaGiro GC with 40 points: 15 from the cat. 1 KOM, 2 for the Super Team standings, 10 for the Bouquet bonus, 3 for the Conad “Grocery” bonus, and 10 for the daily bonus (commented with the cheese emoji).

In third place, Marco Frigo (Israel–Premier Tech) earned 29 points: 5 for Intermediate Sprint placings, 9 for the cat. 1 KOM, 10 for the Combativity Prize, and 5 for the SOLO Caffè Monorigine bonus.
