tourist info

Tradate is a municipality in the province of Varese, home to the Fisogni Museum.

Founded in 1966 by Guido Fisogni, it is a rather original museum housing the world’s most comprehensive collection (Guinness World Record certified) of petrol pumps and objects related to petrol stations. An ideal venue for events such as rallies and shows related to the world of vintage vehicles, it is open to the public upon reservation.

The museum boasts several historical pieces in its collection, and possibly the best known one is a petrol stations ordered by Benito Mussolini, designed in the Littorio style: its structure is reminiscent of the Roman salute and its lines recall the architecture of the buildings of the ventennio (the twenty years of Fascist rule in Italy).
