Isaac Del Toro (UAE Team Emirates XRG) has won stage 6, the Burjeel Holdings Stage, of the 8th edition of the UAE Tour, ahead of Luke Plapp (Team Jayco AlUla) and Felix Gall (Decathlon CMA CGM Team).
Isaac Del Toro becomes the new Red Jersey of the race.

Speaking seconds after the stage finish, the stage winner Isaac Del Toro said: “I was convinced that I could win today. Up the hill, it was a mental game with Antonio Tiberi. I was confident enough to keep trying. It didn’t work the first time so I had to go again. As a team we had the winning mentality today. As I went solo with 2.5km to go, I could see the gap but I had to try and increase the gap as much as I could till the line. Today’s win is in the top 3 of my career so far. It’s so special to win with such a great team. It’s time for me to realise that I have to believe in myself as much as my team does”.
