The Tirreno Adriatico once again features some of cycling’s biggest stars such as Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert, who will use the Race of the Two Seas to fine-tune their form ahead of Milano–Sanremo.
Among the main contenders for the general classification is Mexican rider Isaac Del Toro, who has enjoyed an excellent start to the season at the UAE Tour. Also ones to watch are Filippo Ganna, runner-up last year, and Primož Roglič, a former winner of the race.
There is also strong interest in Italian riders Antonio Tiberi and Giulio Ciccone, while the sprint stages are expected to feature a battle between Jonathan Milan and Jasper Philipsen.
