Thomas Pidcock wins the 17th Strade Bianche

Thomas Pidcock (Ineos Grenadiers) has won the 17th edition of Strade Bianche Crédit Agricole, 184km from Siena to Siena (Piazza del Campo), after he attacked with 52 km to the finish.

Valentin Madouas (Groupama – FDJ) and Tiesj Benoot (Jumbo-Visma) complete the race podium.

1 – Thomas Pidcock (Ineos Grenadiers) – 184 km in 4h31’41” average speed 40.636 km/h

2 – Valentin Madouas (Groupama – FDJ) at 20″

3 – Tiesj Benoot (Jumbo-Visma) at 22″

Speaking seconds after the finish, a victorious Thomas Pidcock said: “It will take some time for this victory to sink in. When I went, it was not the plan. But it was at normally decisive moment. I got a gap and I carried on. Honestly this week I had the feeling that something big was gonna happen today and it did”.
