The tweets of the day: Hepburn catches Pedersen, Soudal and Trek wait for Zelda

12/05/2023

The Capua-Campo Imperatore kept the riders busy for more than six hours of racing. The peloton did not force the pace and several quieter moments occurred. In one of these, just after the intermediate sprint in Castel di Sangro, Mads Pedersen (Trek-Segafredo) pretended to attack and Michael Hepburn (Jayco AlUla) to catch him as if he were a fish on a hook.

Also interesting was the nice “debate” between Soudal-QuickStep and Trek-Segafredo, who were waiting as much for this stage as for the release of “Zelda” for the Nintendo Switch, the most popular game for the fans of this game. “A stage as eagerly awaited as fans are waiting for the Legend of Zelda game, which comes out today,” Soudal wrote. “On my way to the game shop to prepare for incoming rest day boredom,” Trek replied. “Way ahead of you,” Soudal replied again, posting a photo of the game.
