The 2026 edition of Il Giro d’Abruzzo was officially presented today at the Abruzzo Regional Headquarters in L’Aquila. The race will take place from 15 to 18 September, starting in Cupello and finishing 640 kilometres later in Controguerra. Organised by RCS Sport in partnership with the Abruzzo Region, the race will feature a total elevation gain of 8,200 metres and will pass through all four provinces of the region.
The presentation was attended by Marco Marsilio, President of the Abruzzo Region; Paolo Bellino, CEO and General Manager of RCS Sports & Events; Stefano Allocchio, RCS Sport Cycling Manager; Roberto Formichetti, representative of the Abruzzo Region; together with representatives from the host towns, members of the media and local institutions.
