In the splendid setting of Villa Madama in Rome, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, together with the Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi, inaugurated the Second Edition of the “Italian Sports Day in the World”.
The Giro d’Italia was represented by the CEO of RCS Sports & Events, Paolo Bellino.
The Corsa Rosa, a symbol of Italian sport and excellence, received official recognition last year from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its role as an ambassador of Sports Diplomacy around the globe.
This year’s theme was “Mountains and Sea”, which the Giro has been showcasing to the world along its route annually for over a century.
