Paul Seixas (Decathlon CMA CGM Team) has won the 120th edition of Il Lombardia by Crédit Agricole, 239 km from Bergamo to Como, ahead of Enric Mas (Movistar Team) and Giulio Ciccone (Lidl-Trek).

Speaking seconds after the finish, the winner of the 120th edition of Il Lombardia presented by Crédit Agricole, Paul Seixas said: “It’s crazy. Everything went to perfection. The teammates did an awesome job, all of them pushed more than what they had to do. I had amazing legs. I had the feeling that today was a great day for me. I managed to make the decision at the moment I chose, maybe a little earlier because I felt the rhythm wasn’t high enough at the bottom of the second last climb. I did the best time trial I could. It was me against myself. At the end of the last climb I started believing in my victory. I rode carefully downhill. It feels like a dream. After the world championships, I switched focus on Il Lombardia, I’ve trained hard to achieve this”.
