Ministry Of Tourism Joins The Giro D’Italia Map On Fortnite

Three weeks after the launch of the official Giro d’Italia map on Fortnite, developed in collaboration with NOVO Esports, the project has been further enhanced by the inclusion of the Italian Ministry of Tourism, in synergy with ENIT – the Italian National Tourism Agency, reinforcing the Giro d’Italia’s role as an innovative platform for promoting Italian destinations and showcasing the excellence of Italy to the world.

 

A digital journey that is already introducing Italy to a new global generation, supported by figures of extraordinary international reach. The official Giro d’Italia map on Fortnite has engaged 570,000 unique players from 142 countries, generating 600,000 matches played and a total of 70,000 hours of gameplay. Its impact is also reflected in 49 million impressions and more than 1.2 million clicks on the videogame’s preview image. A total of 519,000 Pink Jerseys have been earned, allowing players to experience the spirit of the Corsa Rosa firsthand in a digital environment

 

The presence of the Ministry of Tourism is integrated throughout the entire route, enhancing the landscapes, cities, and identity of the territories crossed by the Giro d’Italia, including their virtual representation. Digital LED walls, branded billboards, road stickers, and customized barriers faithfully reproduce the communication elements featured during the real race stages, accompanying players from start to finish in an immersive narrative of Italy.

 

Particular emphasis is placed on the iconic cities featured in the map — including Rome, Naples, and Milan — where visual content helps showcase the cultural and urban heritage, transforming gameplay into an experience of discovery and territorial appreciation.

 

The Ministry of Tourism brand is also integrated into the game interface, ensuring a consistent and highly visible presence, seamlessly aligned with the gaming experience and capable of reaching an international audience.
