Hockey Club Ambrì-Piotta and the Organizing Committee of the Bellinzona–Carì Stage of the Giro d’Italia 2026 have announced a joint initiative to promote cycling in the Canton of Ticino. The jerseys worn by the Bianco-Blù players during the National League match against Davos, scheduled for 27 February 2026 at the Gottardo Arena, will be pink for the occasion.
This is a tribute to the Giro d’Italia, which will arrive in Carì (starting from Bellinzona) on 26 May. These unique jerseys will then be auctioned for a social and sporting cause. The entire proceeds will be donated to Ticino Cycling to support the promotion of cycling in the Canton and, in particular, the BancaStato Kids Tour: the cycling challenge circuit that, from March to October, showcases young talents riding in Ticino.
The auction, with a starting bid set at 99 Swiss francs per set (including jersey and socks), offers fans the opportunity to secure a historic piece from the 2025/26 season while contributing to the development of the regional cycling movement. To participate, fans must download the free “La Casa dell’Hockey” app, where bids can be placed starting at 7:45 p.m. on 27 February (and until 9 March).
The initiative stems from the collaboration between two local sporting institutions ahead of the Giro d’Italia’s arrival in Canton Ticino, when the race caravan will depart from Bellinzona and finish in Carì after crossing the Tre Valli region. In the coming weeks and months, numerous additional initiatives will follow, turning Ticino pink and providing significant international visibility for the territory. In this context, collaboration with historic organizations such as HCAP represents great added value in making the Giro’s passage truly unforgettable.
