Kasper Haugland (Decathlon CMA CGM) won Stage 1 of the Giro Next Gen 2026 and donned the Maglia Rosa at the finish line in Vibo Valentia. He finished solo, while a sprint unfolded behind him, with Riccardo Fabbro (UC Trevigiani – Energiapura Marchiol) and Davide Donati (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe Rookies) finishing second and third.
