Speaking seconds after the finish, the stage winner Elisa Balsamo said: “It’s amazing to win wearing the Maglia Rosa. I was waiting this week so much. I want to thank my teammates because they did an amazing job the all day. I was feeling good, the sprint was perfect against such a strong field of rivals. I know quite well the finish of tomorrow because I did a recon. The final km is quite hilly but I will try to do my best”.
