Voting for the Giro d’Italia Awards closed on 5 June, bringing to an end an initiative that invited fans to choose the protagonists and most memorable moments of the edition that had just concluded. Running from 2 to 5 June, the project featured 12 categories and attracted strong participation, highlighting the deep bond between the Corsa Rosa and its supporters.
Among the most prestigious prizes, Jonas Vingegaard was named Best Rider, earning the fans’ vote thanks to his performances over the three weeks of racing. In the Best Domestique category, victory went to Davide Piganzoli, recognised for his dedication and selfless work in support of his team. The Best Breakaway award was won by Fredrik Dversnes for his move on the Milan stage, while Stage 19 to Alleghe (Piani di Pezzè) was voted Best Summit Finish.
Speed also had its moment in the spotlight, with Stage 21 – Rome to Rome receiving the award for Best Sprint, while Afonso Eulalio was crowned Best Revelation among the young riders. As for the most emotional moments of the race, Alberto Bettiol received the award for Best Attack for his move on Stage 13, while Team Visma | Lease a Bike earned the prize for Best Team Spirit.
Fans also celebrated some of the Giro’s most iconic images, with Giulio Ciccone in the Maglia Rosa receiving the Amore Infinito Award, symbolising the deepest essence of the Corsa Rosa. Among the host locations, Cassano d’Adda won the prize for Best City Dressing, while the picturesque Muro di Ca’ del Poggio on Stage 18 was named Best Caravan Stop.
Finally, Stage 17 from Cassano d’Adda to Andalo was voted the Most Spectacular Stage, thanks to the intensity and excitement it delivered.
The Giro d’Italia Awards once again proved to be an initiative capable of engaging the international community of the Corsa Rosa, giving fans a direct voice and celebrating the most unforgettable moments of the race.
