Ganna wins stage 14, Almeida increases his lead

Filippo Ganna (Team Ineos Grenadiers) has won Stage 14 of the 103rd Giro d’Italia, the 34.1km Conegliano-Valdobbiadene (Prosecco Superiore Wine Stage) – Tissot  ITT. Rohan Dennis (Team Ineos Grenadiers) and Brandon McNulty (UAE Team Emirates) have finished second and third, respectively.

João Almeida (Deceuninck – Quick-Step), 6th best time today, retains the Maglia Rosa and increases his lead in the general classification.

2 – Rohan Dennis (Team Ineos Grenadiers) at 26”
3 – Brandon McNulty (UAE Team Emirates) at 1’09”

Speaking seconds after the stage finish, the stage winner Filippo Ganna said: “This is my third victory in the Giro, I am very proud of it! This year I have improved a lot thanks to the help of my team. Every little improvement is important and contributes to performances such as this one today”.

The Maglia Rosa João Almeida said: “It was a good day, I did a good ITT and now I have a few seconds more on Wilco Kelderman in the general classification. I hope to continue like this, I feel good.”
