Has one of the riders you picked for your team been underperforming? Did your squad lose a rider because he was forced to abandon? Are you regretting not including that rider who’s currently having an outstanding FantaGiro d’Italia in your original lineup, or naming a captain who’s clearly not up to the task?
No worries! The rules of the FantaGiro d’Italia 2025 include two mid-race transfer windows, scheduled for the second and third rest days of the Giro d’Italia 2025 (19 and 26 May), which allow you to adjust your team along the way. The first window opens today and will remain active until 11:59 p.m. tonight. During each transfer session, you may replace up to 4 riders per team. Transfers are only permitted if the total value in Wolfies of the incoming riders is equal to or less than the value of those being replaced, and the team must still consist of 8 riders within the 100 Wolfie budget limit. Points for new riders added to the team will start counting from the stage following the transfer window. So, for example, if a manager chooses to bring in Mads Pedersen (current FantaGiro d’Italia points leader), his score for the team will start from zero. However, points scored by outgoing riders will not be deducted from the team’s total score up to that point.
You can also change your team captain during the two repair windows.
The full rulebook is available at www.fantagiroditalia.it, where you can also still sign up for the 2025 edition of FantaGiro d’Italia until 31 May.
So if you’re looking to tweak your lineup, don’t wait. Now’s the time!
