FantaGiro d’Italia 2026: Vingegaard dominates ahead of final week

25/05/2026

The final week of the 2026 Giro d’Italia is approaching, and the FantaGiro d’Italia standings are beginning to reveal increasingly clear hierarchies. The undisputed star of this second phase has undoubtedly been Jonas Vingegaard, who has managed not only to claim the Maglia Rosa on the roads of the Giro, but also to take the lead in the main classifications of the race’s official fantasy game. Particularly decisive was the stage finishing in Pila (Gressan), where the Dane of Team Visma | Lease a Bike strengthened his dominance with a top-level performance, winning the stage and becoming race leader. But neither the Giro nor the FantaGiro are anywhere near over. The final week promises to be spectacular and could still turn the standings upside down.

Leading the Sporting Classification — the ranking based exclusively on riders’ real-life performances — is Vingegaard himself with 292 points. The Visma | Lease a Bike leader built his advantage through victory at Pila (Gressan) and, above all, through consistently elite performances culminating in the conquest of the Maglia Rosa. Behind him sits Afonso Eulálio (Bahrain Victorious) with 192 points, rewarded for his nine days in the Maglia Rosa and his current second place overall. Completing the podium of the Sporting Classification is Felix Gall (Decathlon CMA CGM) with 149 points.

The Danish star is also the dominant figure in the Fanta Classification, the ranking that represents the game’s more curious, unpredictable and entertaining side, determined by bonuses and maluses awarded not only during racing but also in surrounding moments such as podium ceremonies, signature podiums, and memorable rider moments. Vingegaard leads this ranking too with 203 points, earned mainly through frequent “Greeting Bonuses” — awarded to riders who wave to the cameras during stages — as well as “Bouquet Bonuses” collected by stage winners and jersey holders during podium ceremonies, in addition to the “Daily Bonuses” earned in Stages 12 and 13. Behind him are two fan-favourite fantasy picks: Martin Marcellusi (Bardiani-CSF 7 Saber) with 197 points and Mattia Bais (Polti VisitMalta) with 150 points.

Representing the perfect blend of the two souls of the FantaGiro d’Italia is the Overall Classification, calculated by combining points earned in both the Sporting and Fanta rankings. Here too, Jonas Vingegaard reigns supreme, leading with 495 points, ahead of Afonso Eulálio on 328 points and Martin Marcellusi on 222 points.

With the final week now ready to come alive, the FantaGiro d’Italia 2026 is preparing for its decisive phase. Meanwhile, the competition continues on the official website and the new FantaGiro d’Italia mobile app. Registrations remain open until 30 May: there is still time to join the game, build your team, choose your captain and experience every stage as a protagonist, along with the chance to win one of many prizes up for grabs, including the special De Rosa 838 FantaGiro Edition bike, iPhone 17s, official Giro d’Italia 2026 jerseys and commemorative t-shirts by All4cycling.

Every climb, every breakaway and every sprint can still make the difference: the Giro is entering its most eagerly awaited week — and at the FantaGiro, nothing has been decided yet.
