There are numerous new features characterizing the 2026 edition of FantaGiro d’Italia, introduced with the aim of making the game even more engaging, dynamic and accessible. An increasingly complete and exciting experience, capable of combining a passion for cycling with the fun of a fantasy game.
The first new feature is evident from the registration phase. Until 30 May, Managers can register not only through the official website, but also via the new FantaGiro d’Italia mobile app. The app will make it even easier and more immediate to follow, directly from a smartphone, all updates and results of your teams throughout the stages of the Giro.
Important changes also concern the fantasy game rules, which this year introduce three different rankings: Sports Ranking, Fanta Ranking and Overall Ranking.
The Sports Ranking will be based exclusively on the riders’ real performances, taking into account stage results, official classifications and competition-related bonuses. The most skilled fantasy managers will therefore have the chance to win the official Giro d’Italia 2026 jerseys, signed by the respective winners, as well as special jerseys dedicated to the most iconic stages of the Corsa Rosa.
The Fanta Ranking, on the other hand, will be determined by the bonuses and penalties in the rules, focusing on fun and curiosity. Riders will be able to accumulate points not only during the 21 stages, but also during off-race moments such as signature podiums or award ceremonies.
The Overall Ranking will represent the combination of the previous two, summing all points earned.
Among the main new features is also the introduction of FantaScore, a parallel game designed to test users’ predictive skills. Stage by stage, participants will be able to answer prediction-based questions related to race events – such as the stage winner, the Maglia Rosa or the breakaway award – with questions that vary depending on the type of stage. In addition, a contest associated with FantaGiro d’Italia will offer fantastic prizes.
To support the Managers, FantaCoaches are also making their debut: well-known personalities from the world of sport and entertainment who will provide pre-built teams, ideal even for less experienced players. The FantaCoaches for the 2026 edition are Turbopaolo, digital creator, comedian and stand-up performer as well as a cycling expert; Justine Mattera, well-known American showgirl, host, actress and singer, as well as a passionate cycling enthusiast and all-around sports lover; Giacomo Nizzolo, former professional cyclist with a palmarès that includes a European title, two Italian championships and two Maglia Ciclamino at the Giro d’Italia; and Davide Camicioli, one of the faces of Formula 1 on Sky Sport and an all-around sports enthusiast with a particular passion for triathlon.
Registrations are already open: to take part, you can sign up on the official website or download the new FantaGiro d’Italia app. The Giro is about to start: it’s time to create your team and get into the race.
