Among the main new features of the 2026 edition of FantaGiro d’Italia is a major update to the rules, designed to make the game even more engaging, dynamic and capable of rewarding different skills of fantasy managers.
From this year, the fantasy game will be structured around three different rankings: Sports Ranking, Fanta Ranking and Overall Ranking.
The Sports Ranking will be based exclusively on the riders’ real performances. Scores will be determined by stage results, official classifications and all bonuses strictly linked to sporting competition. A formula designed to reward analysis skills, technical knowledge and intuition of the most prepared fantasy managers. Up for grabs will be the official jerseys of the Giro d’Italia 2026 general classifications, signed by their respective winners, as well as special jerseys dedicated to some of the most iconic stages of the Corsa Rosa.
The Fanta Ranking, on the other hand, will retain the game’s most original and entertaining spirit. It will be determined by the bonuses and penalties предусмотрed in the rules, which riders can accumulate not only during the 21 race stages, but also in off-race moments such as signature podiums or award ceremonies. A system that continues to reward attention, creativity and the ability to spot the most curious and unpredictable moments of the Giro.
The Overall Ranking will represent the perfect combination of the two sides of FantaGiro d’Italia. It will be calculated by adding together the scores obtained in the Sports Ranking and the Fanta Ranking, rewarding the most complete fantasy managers.
Alongside the new ranking system, FantaScore also makes its debut: a parallel game that introduces an additional layer of engagement for all participants.
Stage by stage, through the official website or the new FantaGiro d’Italia app, users will be able to test their prediction skills by answering a series of questions related to race events. The questions will vary depending on the type of stage and may concern, for example, the stage winner, the Pink Jersey or the breakaway award.
FantaScore is designed to offer fans an even more interactive and daily experience, turning every stage of the Giro into a new opportunity to play. Exclusive Giro d’Italia 2026 commemorative T-shirts by All4Cycling will be up for grabs.
