QUOTES
Speaking seconds after the finish, the winner of the 110th edition of the GranPiemonte presented by Crédit Agricole, Dorian Godon said: “GranPiemonte was less hard than in previous years and the weather was fine this morning so I was confident that it would end up in a bunch sprint today. I didn’t have my best feelings but the team did an amazing job to position me well. In the last 2km I just followed Axel [Laurance] and I gave everything after the last curve that I took in third position. I’m very happy to take my eighth victory of the year. I’ve lost the French champion jersey but I enjoy winning with Netcompany-Ineos. I love this kind of twisty finales. I’m more of a punchy rider than a sprinter so I find in Italy a terrain that suits me well”.
