Route
Very demanding stage, especially in the second part. The start is almost flat but quite technical between Lucca and Camaiore, before joining the Via Aurelia (SS1) for many kilometres. Before entering La Spezia, there is a short climb. After La Spezia, the route climbs Passo del Termine and Colle di Guaitarola, thus crossing the Cinque Terre. After Sestri Levante, two short and steep climbs (Colla dei Scioli and Cogorno) lead into the final part towards Chiavari.
Final kilometres
The final 5 km feature a short climb followed by a short descent into the town, with some demanding sections. The final kilometre is perfectly straight and flat. Final straight of 400 m on 8 m wide asphalt.
