technical info

A full mountain stage. After the first 50 km, it’s all climbs and descents with no chance to recover. After a flat start, the route enters the Astico Valley via Arsiero, where the climbing begins with Carbonare. A fast descent to Trento is followed by the first half of Monte Bondone up to Candriai. Then a brief descent and another ascent to Vigo Cavedine. Another short downhill section leads into the climb of Passo di Santa Barbara from Arco-Bolognano: 13 km at nearly 9% (peaks at 14%). After the descent to Mori, the final climb begins, 17 km up to San Valentino.
Final kilometres
The final 17 km are all uphill, with two brief flat or descending sections at Brentonico and San Giacomo. The last 3 km begin with a short descent, then ramp back up with a section at 12%. Final straight: 250 m on 7-metre-wide asphalt.
