IN CIMA, THE GIRO D’ITALIA PODCAST

Produced by Dog-Ear in collaboration with Agenzia ICE – for the valorisation of the excellences of the territory – “IN CIMA” tells the story of the great climbs of the Corsa Rosa, because each climb has its own peculiarity, defined by length and slope, but all of them are still able to excite today. In two languages (English and Italian), the podcast retraces some of those climbs: an episodic tale that travels through time and space, climbing the history of the Giro to recount the exploits and the athletes who took on the challenges that the mountains of our country put before them. 10 stages starting with the legendary climbs of Etna, Santuario di Oropa and Passo Manghen, and then reliving the mountains that are the protagonists of this edition of the Giro: Campo Imperatore – Gran Sasso d’Italia, Colle del Gran San Bernardo, Valico di Valcava, Monte Bondone, Passo Giau and Tre Cime di Lavaredo. The finish line is set on Monte Lussari, an unprecedented climb that will be run a few days after the publication of the final episode. The great climbs are emblematic of the courage, determination and audacity that characterise cycling heroes. Fausto Coppi, one of these timeless icons, gave his name to the symbol par excellence of the climbs of the Giro, the ‘Cima Coppi’, which identifies the highest point reached during that edition of the race. The episodes of In Cima – The greatest climbs of the Giro d’Italia are available here.

Following the success of last year’s edition, the Giro d’Italia will have aganin a Spanish-language podcast thanks to a partnership with El Maillot.
