26/06/2020

SAGAN AT THE GIRO

The Slovak star riding for BORA – hansgrohe has announced his participation in the 2020 Corsa Rosa. In the months before the lockdown he prepared, together with RCS Sport, a unique communication – a series of videos and photos – which will be revealed across four episodes (plus an “extra” instalment) starting today and continuing over the next four Thursdays. After years of studying universally recognized Italian excellencies, Peter Sagan is finally ready to demonstrate how he has become an expert on Italy and its most celebrated cultural specialities such as Art, Music, Cuisine, and Fashion: he is finally ready for the Corsa Rosa. The first episode of this journey starts from the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan.

Peter Sagan said: “In my programs agreed before the lockdown there was the Giro d’Italia and even after the release of the new calendar I wanted to keep my word and be present at the start of the Corsa Rosa. Together with the team, despite the overlap with the northern classics, we immediately decided that I would participate in the Giro. There was not even a moment of doubt or second thoughts. I am happy to come riding on the roads of the Corsa Rosa, for me it will be the first time, and I could not postpone it again.” The Slovak star also commented on the Giro d’Italia communication project: “I immediately liked the communication project with RCS Sport for my first participation in the Giro. I admit I had a lot of fun preparing it and getting to know Italian excellence and talents in depth. By now I have become an expert in Art, Music, Cuisine and Fashion.”

FROM THE PINACOTECA DI BRERA (BRERA ART GALLERY) TO THE TEATRO ALLA SCALA, PASSING BY THE FINEST FASHION AND EXCELLENT CUISINE

Benefitting from years of education in many of the cultural excellencies for which Italy is world famous – including Art, Music, Food and Fashion – Peter Sagan is finally ready to demonstrate how expert he has become in Italy: Join him on a journey into the heart of the strengths of the Bel Paese – “the beautiful country” – giving visibility to Italian places and talents, from the Pinacoteca di Brera to the Teatro alla Scala, passing through the Ermenegildo Zegna atelier, and exploring Italy’s peerless culinary tradition.
