How to Create or Join a League in FantaGiro d’Italia

Just before the start of the 108th edition of the Giro d’Italia, 12,000 teams have already signed up for FantaGiro d’Italia, the official fantasy game of the Corsa Rosa!
The most fun way to play FantaGiro d’Italia is by forming or joining a league.
Leagues are separate, parallel competitions to the main FantaGiro d’Italia Trophy. They offer a perfect, customizable space for each community (you can choose a name, avatar, cover image, etc.), where only the registered teams in that league compete against each other.
Each user can create up to 5 teams and 5 leagues with a single account. A league can host only one team per user, and each user can participate in up to 25 leagues, entering any of their teams in each. All teams are automatically entered into the FantaGiro d’Italia Trophy, and this doesn’t count toward the 25-league limit.

So how do you create or join a league?

After creating your team on the website fantagiroditalia.it, click the button “Join a league with this team”. You’ll then see two options: create a new league (up to 5 allowed) or search for and request to join an existing one.

To create your own league, just click “Create a new league”. You’ll be taken to a new page where you can upload a cover image (recommended resolution: 800x320px), choose an avatar image, enter your league’s name, and set its privacy status – public, private, or secret.

Public leagues are open access, which means anyone can browse and join them at any time by simply creating a team. Private leagues display the participant list, but users must send a join request and be accepted by the league owner or admins. Secret leagues only display their name until the user’s request is accepted. Once inside, no one outside the league can see that the user is participating.

To join an existing league, you can browse through the Premium Leagues – these include ones created by FantaGiro d’Italia 2025 partners (Conad, InterCity, Giovanni Rana, Regina, Novi, 3B Meteo, SOLO single-origin coffee by Polti, Imatra) – or browse user-created leagues, sorted by number of participants. Alternatively, you can search directly by entering the league name in the search bar.
