Born in Sydney, Australia, 11 July 1994, Ewan became the youngest stage winner in every Grand Tour since Italy’s Nino Defilippis in 1956.
He claimed three stage victories in his Tour de France debut in 2019, including the last one on the Champs-Elysées in Paris. The diminutive sprinter had already compiled 42 pro wins by the age of 25. Among them are three stage victories at the Corsa Rosa (one in 2017 and two in 2019), one stage victory at the Vuelta a España 2015, stage 4 of the 2017 Abu Dhabi Tour on the Yas Marina circuit and two stage victories atop Hatta Dam in the 2019 and 2020 UAE Tours. He was Omnium Junior World Champion in 2011 and Junior Australian ITT Champion in 2012.
