Giroland, Carovana, Reporter for a day, Giro Express: all the collateral initiatives of the Giro

There are more and more initiatives that flank the competitive aspect of the Giro d’Italia and make the story of one of the most eagerly awaited sport events in the world rich, exciting and colourful.

The itinerant Village of the Corsa Rosa becomes more involving. It will be set up every day at the finish of each stage and will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Festivity, fun, music and entertainment guaranteed in 17 stages. It will be possible to relive the emotions of the past through the images of the great champions, memorabilia and the Trofeo Senza Fine of the Giro d’Italia. But not only cycling! The FICB, Federazione Italiana Calcio Balilla, affiliated with CSAIn, Centri Sportivi Aziendali e Industriali, will organise the qualifying tournaments for the FICB 2023 Coppa Italia final. The activity will be open to all.

The colourful parade of vehicles that traditionally anticipates the arrival of the champions at the finish line cannot be missed, of course. Music and many choreographies will make their passage through the sites of the Corsa Rosa unforgettable, for a spectacle that has always been awaited along the roads and by the public. Four stops are planned each day, at the locations from the start to the finish of the stage.

An initiative dedicated to young people and their sporting passions. It combines writing and photography in a single day, to live a unique experience thanks to the Giro.
At the start, the participants will be asked to photographically document the most exciting moments before the start of the stage. At the finish, participants are invited to write their own article dedicated to the stage and their day at the Giro d’Italia. The project is dedicated to secondary school students from all the stage locations touched by the race.

A tale of the ingredients and flavours of our cuisine, as well as the excellences that make Made in Italy famous throughout the world. All seen through the eyes of a young girl who travels the country by bicycle: from north to south, from the Adriatic and Tyrrhenian coasts to the peaks of the Alps and the Dolomites, following the stages of the Giro d’Italia. This initiative will be flanked by GIRO D’EATALIA with which Enrico Croatti, the globetrotter chef from Romagna, will propose a creative reinterpretation of recipes of traditional regional dishes, adding a touch of international flavour. The proposals will be the result of his decades of experience abroad – he was the first Italian to receive the coveted Michelin star in Spain – while always returning to the origins of his story, Romagna.

RDS is reconfirmed as the entertainment partner of the Giro. A collaboration that sees the involvement of all available channels aimed at maximising the visibility of the event: from promotion to storytelling, up to live entertainment and the conduction of the great final party planned this year in Rome. RDS 100% Grandi Successi will narrate the race through the voice of its presenters who will be present in first person and live during all the stages: Paolo Piva will be the voice of Giroland. Also in the Caravan, an RDS-branded car will host an entertainer and a deejay ready to entertain the general public.
