Yesterday’s event in Dublin, which was open to all and focused on sustainability, green mobility and the production of bicycles and e-bikes, also saw over 1,000 amateur cyclists pedalling along an 8 km route starting from the western point of Phoenix Park and ending at the grounds of Lucan House, official Residence of the Ambassador of Italy to Ireland.
Among the protagonists of the ride was also former World Champion Maurizio Fondriest who, like all the other participants, was able to stop at the stands located after the finish line where it was possible to taste Italian food and drinks as well as pedal on the Giro d’Italia Virtual routes, created in collaboration with BKOOL, riding Technogym bicycles. In addition, in the area of the stands, an exhibition of objects related to the Corsa Rosa was set up with a display of bicycles of historical Made in Italy brands such as Colnago.
Colnago Gioiello, the official bike of the 106th Giro d’Italia, is the highest expression of Italian know-how, created to tell the world about the quality of the work of master craftsmen, their creative flair and their taste for the ‘beautiful and well-made’ that make Made in Italy one of the most recognised brands in the world.
