Giro d’Italia 2020: new Jerseys unveiled


The Jerseys

Unveiled today are the Jerseys of the 103rd Giro d’Italia, organised by RCS Sport / La Gazzetta dello Sport and held from 9 to 31 May 2020. The jerseys are produced by Manifatture Valcismon – with the famous scorpion brand, Castelli, the designer of the jerseys. They are all made with special eco-friendly SITIP fabrics.

As the 2020 Giro d’Italia Maglia Rosa looks to the future, for the first time ever at a Grand Tour the leaders’ jerseys are manufactured using eco-sustainable fabrics “Native by SITIP”: processes and fabrics with a lower environmental impact, produced with recycled yarns – GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified – deriving mainly from recycled plastic bottles, and driven by circular economy principles and policies.


The jerseys offer classification leaders the lightest, most aerodynamic high performance equipment available. Integrated transparent number pockets negate pinning race numbers to the jersey, further improving aerodynamics. Castelli’s design touches include a subtle new graphic representing the shape of the Trofeo Senza Fine, a raised rubberized Giro d’Italia logo on the sleeves and an injection molded Amore Infinito ribbon on the back of the pocket.

The recycled fabrics will be used not only on the race jerseys but also in Castelli’s official replicas of the leaders’ jerseys.

  • MAGLIA ROSA (pink) – General Classification leader, sponsored by Enel
  • MAGLIA CICLAMINO (cyclamen) – Sprinter Classification leader, sponsored by Segafredo
  • MAGLIA AZZURRA (blue) – King of the Mountains Classification leader, sponsored by Banca Mediolanum
  • MAGLIA BIANCA (white) – Young Rider General Classification leader, sponsored by Eurospin

Renewed the partnership with Intimissimi Uomo

Following the successful 2019 edition, the Giro d’Italia and Intimissimi Uomo, an exclusive Italian brand of men’s underwear, have renewed their partnership. The official jerseys used in the race and on the podium will feature a special internal design for the sponsor. Concealed inside the zipped jersey, and perfectly visible only once unzipped, the Intimissimi Uomo logo will always be in contact with the athlete’s skin, reflecting the brand’s slogan: “Experience the emotion on your skin”.
