    STAGE 16 SALÒ-APRICA – MONTAGNA PANTANI

    The Montagna Pantani prize is awarded to Jan HIRT (IWG), who was the first across the Valico di Santa Cristina.

     

    We remind that, upon moving from the start place to the actual start, the riders wearing the distinctive jerseys need to be in the front line of the peloton.

    COMMUNIQUE BY THE RACE DIRECTION

    ATTENTION: transit over the Monterovere (Menador) climb

    Starting from 14:30, only the vehicles in the race convoy (that is, traveling between the race start and the race end vehicles) will be allowed to take the Monterovere (Menador) climb. Exceptions apply to the cars of the Organisation, and to the team cars providing assistance to the riders, which should however always remain outside the race convoy, as per regulation. After that time, all other accreditation holders apart from the above must leave the stage course in Caldonazzo (at km 150 of racing).

    ROADS SITUATION

    PAY GREAT ATTENTION:

    • From km 39, in MALÈ, to km 49, in PONTE MOSTIZZOLO, series of central raised traffic islands.
    • At km 54, in CLES, series of central raised traffic islands when leaving the urban area.
    • At km 72, narrowing roadway.
    • At km 74, JUNCTION to MEZZOLOMBARDO, narrowing roadway and roundabout.
    • At km 75, in MEZZOLOMBARDO, series of central raised traffic islands when leaving the urban area.
    • At km 80, in S. MICHELE DELL’ADIGE, roundabout.
    • At km 87, in PALÙ DI GIOVO, technical crossing of the urban area, with narrowing roadway and an arch.
    • At km 88, in VERLA, narrowing roadway owing to an arch.
    • At km 92, in LISIGNAGO, narrowing roadway owing to an arch.
    • From km 98 to km 100, fast-running descent.
    • At km 117, in MADRANO, crossing of the urban area on narrowed roadway.
    • At km 122, in PERGINE VALSUGANA, series of roundabouts, central raised traffic islands and speed bumps.
    • From km 134 to km 146, fast-running descent from VETRIOLO.
    • At km 146, in LEVICO, series of roundabouts.
    • At km 150, in CALDONAZZO, flagstone paving, and narrowing roadway.
    • From km 152 to km 160, MENADOR climb on narrowed roadway, especially from km 156 to km 158, where the route will take in two tunnels.

    DIRECTION COMMUNIQUE FOR STAGE 18

    Please be informed that the police authorities have required a change of the route for public order and security reasons: the closing circuit in Treviso has been changed.

    As the stage length has been extended following this change, the meeting, pre-stage operations and start have been rescheduled 5 minutes earlier.
