The Giro d’Italia Virtual is an indoor cycling project developed by RCS Sport in collaboration with BKOOL. The idea is to enable cycling fans to experience all the excitement of a Corsa Rosa stage (in this case, the 2023 edition) while riding the Technogym Ride. This is achieved by means of a digital platform developed by BKOOL, which is compatible with the Technogym Ecosystem; thanks to Technogym Ride’s 22″ screen and its biomechanics, 3D simulation, real video projections and pedalling are merged to achieve the ultimate realistic experience on each stage.
Technogym has worked alongside the world of both professional and amateur cycling since the company was founded, so much so that the 2023 edition of the Giro d’Italia chose Technogym Village, the brand’s headquarters, for the arrival of Stage 9. Today, cycling experts and enthusiasts alike are choosing Technogym Ride, the world’s first smart bike that provides direct access to the apps used by all cyclists. From the biomechanics point of view, Technogym Ride is equipped with a real gearbox and provides an incredibly realistic pedalling feeling, with a remarkably fast reaction time (from 0 to 1000 watts in half a second).
