A flat stage with just one short climb in Putignano. Major towns are connected via wide, mostly straight roads. In Lecce, riders enter the final circuit just after the first passage through the arrival area. They will ride nearly the full 12 km circuit before crossing the finish and completing one full lap.
Final kilometres
The last 3 km are flat with just one significant corner about 1,200 m from the line. Wide roads lead to a slightly curving final kilometre and a 300 m finishing straight on 8-metre-wide asphalt.
