Route
Flat individual time trial, almost entirely straight, with two U-turns. Start in Viareggio heading south through the pinewood along Viale dei Tigli. First U-turn at Marina di Torre del Lago, then back along the same road to Viareggio, where the route joins the seafront heading north. The course follows the Versilia coastline to Marina di Massa, where it turns inland to reach the second U-turn in the Rinchiostra area. The route then returns to the seafront for about 800 m before turning inland again to the finish.
Final kilometres
The final kilometres are straight with only two corners: at 1 km from the finish, a right-hand bend onto the seafront, and at 150 m the turn leading into the finishing straight on 8 m wide asphalt.
