THE GIRO 2019

The Giro d’Italia 2019 has featured a challenging route, once more well balanced between time trials and mountain stages. And even if climbs appeared to prevail, the race has gone live (Bologna-San Luca) and headed for the grand finale (Verona) with two time trials. And Riccione-San Marino, halfway, has not been just a time trialists’ affair. The route has been packed with climbs. Some were first-ever passes, others are plain legend – such as Mortirolo. Unforgettable has been the arrival of the last stage in the Arena of Verona, full with people and fans ready to acclaim the winner Richard Carapaz.
