After the third lap, the route follows three almost complete circuits of a larger 29km loop between Pietrasanta and Lido di Camaiore, before a likely sprint finish at Lido di Camaiore.

Last km

The last few kilometers are perfectly flat, consisting of long straights with only two bends at the stage’s finale. Arrival on an asphalt road, 8m wide.

LIDO DI CAMAIORE

Lido di Camaiore is conveniently located to be an ideal starting point to explore both the beautiful Tuscan countryside and the major art and tourist cities of Tuscany and Liguria. Washed by the Ligurian Sea, and stretching between Marina di Pietrasanta and Viareggio, its lovely golden sand beach is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. The pretty seafront promenade is lined with beach resorts, res- taurants and shops. The Bellavista Vittoria pier offers a stunning view of the coast, against the backdrop of the Apuan Alps. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of beach activities, as well as a ride along the cycle track that leads from Viareggio all the way to Forte dei Marmi. Further inland, up the hills, the verdant countryside serves as the perfect setting for hiking, biking or horse riding, whereas the nearby mountains offer tracks and trails aplenty. Lido di Camaiore hosted Giro d’Italia stage finishes in 1997, in 2002 and in 2007, and it has become the usual opener of Tirreno-Adriatico in recent years.
