In accordance with the Giro d’Italia health protocol, established as part of the “Rules to be followed for the organisation and participation in road events in the context of the coronavirus pandemic” drawn up by cycling’s worldwide governing body the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), and in compliance with the measures of the Italian Health Ministry, all teams (riders and staff) were tested (COVID-19 testing using PCR tests) on 24 May.
A total of 592 tests were carried out:
No riders have tested positive for Covid-19
No teams’s staff members have tested positive for Covid-19
