SAPPADA

Sappada is a town in the province of Udine at the easternmost extremity of the Dolomites. The town is at an altitude of 1,250 m and has about 1,500 inhabitants that increase in the number during summer and winter. The town extends across the valley, from east to west, and is flanked by the Piave river, with its source in the same district.
