Silvan Dillier (BMC Racing Team) won the 217km Reggio Calabria to Terme Luigiane sixth stage of the 100th Giro d’Italia. Jasper Stuyven (Trek – Segafredo) and Lukas Pöstlberger (Bora – Hansgrohe) finished second and third.
Bob Jungels (Quick-Step Floors) remains the race General Classification leader, wearing the Maglia Rosa.

Speaking seconds after the stage finish, the stage winner Silvan Dillier said: “I don’t know how I managed to beat Stuyven who is an excellent sprinter, but when it’s a hill top finish I have power and I can push a big gear. I just tried to believe in myself and find some more energy to finish it. This is the biggest victory for me so far.”
