The 131km stage from Castellania to Oropa (Biella), will end with the final climb of the Sanctuary of Oropa, the “Montagna Pantani” of this year’s Corsa Rosa.

During the stage, 13 seconds of time bonus are up for grabs in the individual overall classification by time, a maximum of 45 points are available for the points classification, and 35 points for the King of the Mountains competition.

This stage is very short and clearly divided into two parts: the route is fast-running and perfectly flat for 120 km, across the Po Valley; then comes an 11-km climb, with gradients over 7% and peaks topping out at 13%
