Nieve wins in Cividale, Amador Maglia Rosa

The Spanish rider Mikel Nieve (Team Sky) has won Stage 13 of the 99th Giro d’Italia, 170km from Palmanova to Cividale del Friuli. Giovanni Visconti (Movistar Team) and Vincenzo Nibali (Astana Pro Team) finished second and third respectively.

Andrey Amador (Movistar Team) is the new race leader overall, wearing the Maglia Rosa.

Successful breakaway for the Spaniard. Jungels surrenders uphill. Costa Rican makes history.

Nibali wins sprint of chasing group and passes Valverde in GC thanks to time bonus.
