Stage cities turn pink to celebrate Giro 102

With exactly 102 days to go to the start of the 102nd edition of the Giro d’Italia, the host cities celebrate their link with the Corsa Rosa by illuminating their landmarks in pink, including important squares, monuments, roads and special locations.

The Giro d’Italia will start from the Region of Emilia Romagna (Bologna) on 11 May and finish in the Verona Arena on 2 June. This edition of the Corsa Rosa will be raced almost entirely in Italy, crossing the border only for one stage finish in the Republic of San Marino.

Stage by stage, the monuments which have turned pink to celebrate the Giro:

  • Stage 1 – 11/05/2019 – Bologna – Bologna (San Luca) (ITT): Podestà palace in Bologna
  • Stage 2 – 12/05/2019 – Bologna – Fucecchio: the Montanelli Bassi Foundation in Fucecchio
  • Stage 3 – 13/05/2019 – Vinci – Orbetello: the Leonardian Museum inside the Conti Guidi Castle in Vinci and the via della Diga Mill in Orbetello
  • Stage 4 – 14/05/2019 – Orbetello – Frascati: War Memorial
  • Stage 5 – 15/05/2019 – Frascati – Terracina: the Temple of Jupiter in Terracina
