From today and for the next month fans and tourists can admire the Trofeo senza Fine in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The trophy for the winner of the Giro d’Italia was unveiled in the gallery by the event’s Madrina, Giorgia Palmas during the inaugural ceremony.
A special countdown by TAG Heuer, official timekeeper of the 100th Giro d’Italia, has been started. It will display the number of seconds remaining until the winner of the 100th edition of the Corsa Rosa is formally announced, the trophy is presented and the celebrations begin. For this historic occasion, the Trofeo senza Fine has been given a special pink gold alloy.
Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer and Chairman of the Watch Division of LVMH Group, said: “The Giro d’Italia is one of the biggest races on the international circuit. It is a legendary and iconic race that will celebrate its 100th edition this year. We are therefore very pleased to be the Official Timekeeper for this famous circuit race. Added to that, the culture of innovation demonstrated by the organisers is perfectly aligned with the avant-garde spirit of TAG Heuer.”
